Sincere apologies. Next time I'll publish my comments when fully awake and on my laptop!
The image is that gorgeous Uniko Studio Butterfly again! I last showed you this all coloured in BVs, this is much brighter! Just love colouring this image.

Uniko Studio - November Release!
Hello Everyone! Thanks for visiting - today is a really exciting day - the next Uniko Studio release is out! Lots of lovely Christmas goodies to play with so keep popping by as there is far too much for one post!
Today I am showcasing a lovely stamp set - Pure Florals : Poinsettia. I love the Poinsettia - so totally Christmassy, and so many options for playing with it! There are some wonderful sentiments that come along as part of this set.
I stamped the image on the small kraft envelope in Memento ink, and the sentiment in the bottom left corner. The image has been shaded using Copic markers to define areas of shade on the flower. There are touches of stickles to give it some festive sparkle - these look so much better in real life, as I think they reacted to the artificial light when I photographed the piece.
I thought that this would make a lovely envelope for a small gift - so I thought earrings would be perfect! Sparkly ones of course!! I really enjoyed making this...hope whoever gets this at Christmas likes it too! The snowflake punch is an old Martha Stewart punch - love the holes it makes, but love the teeny snowflake waste that is made too!
Thanks for looking - pop back soon! Please go and visit all my lovely team mates - they are listed on the Uniko Studio blog on the left hand side!
Have a great day! K :-)

Sunday, Sunday........
Hello! Hope this finds you all well! Operation Bathroom is now complete, so just have the remnants of mess to move from the Craft Hovel, and I'll be back in the swing of things hopefully!
Well, today was my last planned class this year at The Paperlane. This was a beginner Copic Colouring class, with a project to make. There were five lovely ladies with me today (Mari, June, Bev, Susan and Julie - Hi Ladies!!). Today was a bit of a giggle, as once we got through the colouring to the project things got a bit hectic! Mental note to self....how many layers do you need on a project???? Lol!
Still, here it is - this is the sample for the session today. I used a gorgeous new stamp - this is little Miss 'Candy Canes'. She is a Saturated Canary rubber stamp, which is SO good - I can distress ink these lovelies to my heart's content - although this is Copic'd! Caz has them in stock - but they are not online! We made a gift card pouch - I love making these, as a gift card never looks much floating around a normal card, but this makes it more of a gift I think.
The Gift Card Pouch
The inside - both of the panels can be removed to store gift cards, notes or money.
Close up detail of the colouring - and the sparkles!
Here is the project laid down so you can see the dimension.

Papers: Teresa Collins' Christmas Cottage 6x6 pad, and matching Washi tape
Dies: Memory Box Frostyville - Wreath & Border

And ladies...just for you.....
Copics used:

Upside Down.....
Just thought I'd pop on to say 'Hi!'! My house is still upside down and making anything is impossible! The bathroom is well on its way, but I hate mess!! Need to put everything in order and it's killing me! So much so, it drove me to go to Ally Pally yesterday and buy more stuff! Still, will be back shortly trying to get creative!
So, until normal service is resumed, I thought I would share this. The pic is one I took in Paris - thought it was a spookily cute way of looking at street furniture! I love the kookiness of it - it is amazing what you see when you look past what is already there. This was in front of one of the most magnificent buildings the Ecole Militaire, and people were walking over him, totally oblivious. There was a pink one too, but she looked worn, which was a shame.
Back Soon - unless I get grouted too!

Unikly Smash*ing!
Hello All! Welcome back - I've been missing a little bit as I have had a bit of a holiday, so it is nice to get back in the swing of things!
Well, it is release day for Uniko Studio today, and there are loads of wonderful things to play with! I've decided not to make a card today, but use the stamps in my SMASH* Book! I've started to SMASH* my holiday pics in an International SMASH* Book - that should keep me quiet for a while!!
I thought I should use the first pages to celebrate the the reasons why I love Paris - and to be honest, it has a lot to do with the stationery shops (perhaps the wine too!).
I thought I should use the first pages to celebrate the the reasons why I love Paris - and to be honest, it has a lot to do with the stationery shops (perhaps the wine too!).
This double page shows the two sets released today, Wonderful Washi and Thank You labels - I have used the labels as journalling spots. (Apologies any french speaking peeps who can read my efforts at the language!!) The line grids are stickers that I made myself to write on. I love the Washi stamps - they are a lovely way to add texture to the pages, and I could really easily match up my inks to the pages in my book. Here is a close up of some of the detail:
The small embellishment stamp on the grid sticker is part of the 'Thank You' set, with the lovely circular label stamps. Just love these - they also fit some of the sentiments from previously released set. The washi stamps can be used so many ways I have stamped, folded, ripped and stuck them on this page.
The great thing with these is that they coordinate with so many of the other products too! I have used Stampin Up! Inks to match the papers, and the swirls are from a variety of packs I had scattered around my little room - so I thought I would use them up! Well, that is all from me for now, I may disappear for a little while - we are having a new bathroom fitting and my craft room turns into a storage space from Monday. Oh Joy!!
Thanks for looking! K :-)

Super Free Saturday - Bright Butterflies!
Hello Everyone! As promised, I am back with my project for the fabulous Super Free Saturday which is happening over on the Uniko Studio blog! This is also my entry for this week's Sketch Saturday - just loved the sketch this week!
Bev, the lovely owner of Uniko Studio has decided that every month there will be a 'Super Free Saturday', with a digital kit of papers and embellishments for free!! I know - I couldn't believe it either! The papers this month are gorgeous - the 'Bright Butterfly Collection'. I love these colours and they match up so easily with cardstock I have.
So here is my card! I loved the combination of bright colours, and the butterflies. Instead of finding an image to colour, I resized some of the feature butterflies from the papers ( I love how you can do that!!) and used them as the feature elements. It was nice not to touch my markers for a change! I was disappointed with the light today, so typical - a wet Bank Holiday weekend! I need to create space for a permanent light tent. Craft room remodel needed!!
So, if that wasn't exciting enough, Uniko Studio also has a DT call on! So if you are interested, hop on over to the DT call page on the Uniko Studio blog, and have a read on what you need to do, and what is on offer!
Well, thats all the excitement over for this day! Phew! Think I need to go and make a cuppa and have a sit down to get over that!! Remember there is also an amazing blog candy on at Uniko Studio too!! With all that, why are you still reading this post??!!
Thanks so much for visiting - it is lovely to read your comments!

Beautiful Butterfly
Hello All! Just thought I would nip onto blogger and share this. This isn't a complete project, but a coloured image. I'm not sure where this image will end up, but thought I would share it in it's current state! It has been a while since I had a play with my markers, so this was quite nice to do, as I wasn't making it specifically for something.
This butterfly is part of an Uniko Studio digital collection, called English Country Garden. I printed it on my normal colouring cardstock, and coloured it with Copic Markers. It is a beautiful line drawing, and I had great fun colouring it in! The joy of this butterfly was that I could print several so I could find the size that I wanted.
All the colours used to colour the butterfly are within the same colour range and tone. I used the following combinations in the sections of the butterfly:
Light : BV0000, BV000, BV00
Medium: BV11, BV01, BV00
Dark: BV23, BV13, BV11
Darkest: BV29, BV25, BV29
It was great fun colouring this, might attempt more tonal colouring in future! Just a reminder that Uniko Studio currently have a blog candy up for grabs, so if you liked the butterfly....!!
Thanks for visiting! K:-)

Organisation Part 3! Getting Even....
So! Here I go again!
Making the distress marker chart made me go a bit organisationally loopy for a while! First the marker chart, then the marker basket, and now - I decided I needed to revamp the colour chart for my distress ink refills, so I can see them nice and clearly when colouring with them. I had to show the refills some love, as they were feeling neglected with the markers - them being in a new basket too!!
I created a table that has all the distress inks listed - including the limited edition colours so that I could see them all at once. I like using charts like this as it helps me marry up my papers to my colours. I used the water colour paper that I use for stamping on (hot press watercolour - nice and smooth!) and water coloured a small area, just enough to punch out a small shape so that I could stick it next to the name. For my chart I used a really small heart that is part of a Stampin Up! combination punch.
So now, both my distress markers and distress ink refills are even - they both have a new chart! Like I said before, just got to get round to colouring in now!!
Thanks for looking. Remember to have a look at the Uniko Studio blog candy!

Washi(ng) Basket!
Warning! Obsession with storage and organisation again! Step away now if you are of a sensitive nature!
If I spent less time doing this I would get more crafting done - however, as one former colleague told me 'organisation is everything'!! It is also my 100% cast iron guarantee that I waste half of my play time! So, my issue was this - I needed something practical yet pretty to store my increasing amount of washi tapes about in, but I have plans for redoing my craft hovel, so it needs to fit in with the ideas of potential shabby chic craft splendour that I have going on in my head!
I then decided that I needed to buy a bigger version of the basket for my Distress Markers - I have a totally unfounded angst about needing them to be horizontal - so this is the result! I can tot them about from craft hovel to settee, from settee to garden quite happy that they are all in horizontal heaven! They are far too precious not to have their own basket! Apologies for the background on this photo. We had some sunshine which was quite shocking, and messed up my photo settings no end!
Thanks for looking :-)

Getting Organised!
Hello! Just thought I'd pop by to show you this - as the idea of sport 24/7 is not my cup of tea, I'm hoping to increase the time in my craft room.
So, I needed to start getting organised! I love a good colour chart, and I wanted one which I could have on the paper I use. So here it is! I used a lovely open stamp from Uniko Studio from the Lattice Collection, and sectioned my watercolour paper so that I had a section for each colour.
The left of the shape is the marker direct to paper, with the colour washed out the more you go towards the right. I'm going to sparkle it up at the weekend with typeset die cut title - so it can go in my colour chart folder!
Right! Just got to get my act together and make stuff now! Thanks for visiting!! K :-)

Uniko Studio Release Day - Pure Florals : Gerbera
Hello Everyone! Welcome to Uniko Studio release day! Just had to have some inky time with these - the latest editions to the Uniko Studio stamp stable!
Well, these stamps have started doing weird things to my style! I sat with them and just didn't want to put patterns with them today - so this is what I ended up with! I don't normally do orange. Or green! I just don't know what came over me - it all came from colouring the image!
No doubt I will be back to normal next week - so 'Bear With!'! I will have more to show soon - there are some gorgeous digi papers that I need to show you. Some truly gorgeous colour combinations. Go and have a peek at them at Uniko Studio if you cannot wait!
Here is a close up on some of the details. The pattern on the Old Olive cardstock is the same gerbera image in white. The sentiment has been stamped in white, and outlined in Tangerine Tango.
The colours used are all Stampin Up! Colours - Kraft, Tangerine Tango and Old Olive. I watercoloured the Gerbera on hot press paper using the watercolour markers from SU!. I really loved colouring the image. It was stamped in Versafine Vintage Sepia to soften the lines. Sometimes black is just too harsh, isn't it?

TPL Copic Day!
Hello Everyone!
Just a quick post from me today - I have been teaching at The Paperlane today, helping lovely ladies love their Copics! We focused on the colourless blender and all the techniques that you can do with it. I don't know where the time went - the day went so quickly!
We made a little sample book, that you can keep on your desk or put in your workbag. We chattered so much that everyone had to take bits home to finish - so here you are ladies, the pictures to help you on your way!
The outside of the project:
The inside:
Stamps: Magnolia
Papers: The Scrapcake
Cardstock : Bazzil - Kraft
All available from The Paperlane!
Thanks for looking! Kx

Treasure...
Warning - major photo overload in this post!
Hello everyone! Sorry I didn't post earlier - got caught up in all the joy of the extra long weekend for the Jubilee! I just have not got around to papercrafting - the goddess of mojo seems to have left me! **Will Try Harder!** Lol x
So, I thought I would share this today - it's not a project, it is treasure!! I was given this tin recently by my mum. She had been given it by an elderly lady years ago, and had found it stashed in the loft! I think I did actually squeal when she gave me it!
Here is is! How topical is the tin? A tin with the Queen as a child with her parents and sister! This tin is around 70 years old I think?
The inside looked like this when I opened it....
Goodies!! Old paper bags concealing some really beautiful things. Let me share some of them with you....
Just look at this bag! "Craven's British Mints - Pep Up The Day!" Lol! The buttons in this bag are all on fastenings. Here is a close up....
I dug deeper, and yet again let out a squeal! A whole bag of mother of glass buttons, of all shapes and sizes. Such a joy - look at the engraving and those hexagonal beauties!
If sparkle is not your thing - then what about these? Brown tortoiseshell buttons in such an old brown paper bag it rolled and moved like fabric....
Then came the bag with these in....a whole raft of mother of pearl buttons, shiny and shaped. Hexagons again, flowers, scalloped....just gorgeous.
And last, but so not least were these oddments of buttons and fixings, and a religious charm. Just so lovely. Hexagons again, sparkly diamante all wrapped up in vintage fixings. So beautiful.
So there you go. My treasure. No Caribbean beach or Johnny Depp was needed to help me find it, but it's treasure to me all the same. I don't think I'll ever use any of it, as they have all been promoted to being 'my pretties'.
Hope you have a lovely day. Oh, if you wanted to see a project from me, there is one in Craft Stamper this month! #justsayin! :-)

Happy, Happy!
Hello Everyone! Back again - this time to share a card I have made for a really lovely friend's birthday!
I have used the sketch for this month's challenge at CLP Challenges. They always have such lovely sketches to follow. I have used MME Sunny Side papers, with Fleur Anya again. She has been coloured with Distress Markers (Loving them!!)
Here is a picture of the detail on the card. The pearly swirl is from Creative Expressions, the flowers have been cut with a Marianne die, and the centres embellished with Prima Crystals. I have edged the leaves with a touch of Copic to give them a bit of definition.

Unikly Shabby!
You see! I said I would be back! Lol!
This card was again made for challenges, and then realised that I had missed them both! Can you have a mid - year resolution? If so mine would be to make cards and post them for challenges on time!
I have used the Uniko Studio Decorative Doilies, stamped and then embossed in white so that I could rub ink all over them. The papers are a digital download from Uniko Studio too - love these papers, but it was easier to cut into them knowing I could get some more!! I've smooshed antique linen distress ink into the papers to age them a little.
There are lots of layers on this card, and I've added more embellishment with the pearl pen. The rose and butterfly were added to add a bit more interest.
Thanks for looking!

Distressed Fleur!
Hello Everyone! Hope you are all ok.
Well - I hoped that there were some small spots of sunshine heading our way - but no! Still, has given me some much needed time to have a play. I have done a bit of shopping, so there was plenty of new things to keep me busy!
I made this card that I made for a challenge - but successfully forgot that I couldn't post it before the birthday! I don't know - I do that so often! Lol! The gorgeous seam binding has been stained with copic refill ink to blend with the colours of the paper.
The gorgeous character is Fleur Anya, from The Greeting Farm. I got her from The Stamp Attic. They have lots of colouring room! Talking of the colouring, she has been coloured in Distress colours using the gorgeous markers. I love them - so portable and lovely to colour with - yet again I have failed miserably to write the colours used down. I must do better!! You can see the detail on this picture with touches of sparkle!
The lovely washed out colours of the Distress Markers are perfectly suited to the papers. They are from Pink Paislee, and I love them. The teeny tag is from Whiff of Joy, and the dinky sentiment from Papertrey Ink.
Right, well I will be back later. I have got two more cards to post later on - both are missed challenges too!! Lol! No surprises there then!! Thanks for your lovely comments too - let me know if you would like me to share the colours I use - I will buy a notebook specially to write them in so I remember!! LMAO!

Flourishes and Fontiments
Hello everyone!
Happy Bank Holiday if you are in the UK! If you are not, hope you are having a lovely day! Just a quick post to show you a card made with the latest Uniko Studio stamps! I have made this for my Dad's birthday.
Happy Bank Holiday if you are in the UK! If you are not, hope you are having a lovely day! Just a quick post to show you a card made with the latest Uniko Studio stamps! I have made this for my Dad's birthday.
The colours are very similar to the post here. I am loving the papers that have come with this release - so you might see a bit more of these! The colours are really lovely - just my cup of tea! Lol! I have used the Fontiments Birthday set, and the lovely Fontiment flourishes as the main focus of my card, rather than an image.
The border punch is an EK Success one, which I love! Pearl drops on the border and the flourish have been added with pearl pen. The matting cardstock is by Stampin Up! I have made the flourish 'pop' a little by lining areas with Copic N1 Sketch. This just gives a little dimension.
So, have a lovely rest of the day - shame there is no sunshine really, but hey ho, its good for a cuppa and a good film! I'm going out with my dogs for a walk before it rains. Again!

Uniko Studio - New Releases!
Hello All! Hope you are all ok! Welcome to the new release post for Uniko Studio stamps! There are four more stamp sets being released today. I've used two sets today, and will show you more next week!
There are so many new things to show you! The lovely papers that you can see here are a digital download from Uniko Studio, and they are released this morning! There are such lovely papers in this collection that I didn't know which ones to choose! The cardstock that I have used to mat the papers are Stampin Up!
The stamps that you can see on the left are a wonderful lattice background set. I have coloured the apertures using Copic markers to match the colours in the papers. The frame edges have been coloured with a Copic Spica clear pen, which unfotunately you can't see very well on this photo. These work so well as a background pattern, or as a feature pattern. The gorgeous sentiments on the right are part of a wonderful mix and match set called 'Fontiments' - love that name! You can make so many different combinations of styles of font with this set - I took ages choosing which ones to pop together!
I have been quite light with embellishments for me - a few pearls coloured with Copics, ribbon strips and a sparkly buckle!
Thanks so much for visiting - please visit Uniko Studio and my DT colleague Aimes for more information on this release!

A Day to Celebrate!
Good Morning! Thanks for coming to visit! Well, today is a day for celebration - it is the 2nd birthday of my nearest joy emporium - The Paperlane! The shop has been open for two years, and I have spent quite a bit of time in there, believe me!!
So, to celebrate the store's birthday, there is a challenge going on! This challenge will run to the 10th May, and the prize is brilliant - a whole £15 gift voucher to spend!! Kicking myself I can't enter! So if you are thinking of joining in, there are three options - join in on the blog post, email your entry if you don't have a blog or drop it into the store if you live close by!
Here is my entry - I have used two sentiments to celebrate the second birthday! The stamp is a new Wild Rose Studio stamp - Bella and Balloons is so cute! I loved using the old Copics on her! She is sweet!
Oh, by the way - I haven't gone all artsy with staging the photos - the cakes were there for my afternoon tea in the garden! Thought I would make the best of the sunshine! Here is a close up of the lovely image.
The sentiments are Hero Arts, and the balloons have been embellished using Glossy Accents and Stickles for a bit of sparkle! There are lots of dots of Viva Pearl Pen all over the card - cannot help using them!

Bonjour Ballet Shoes Tilda!
Hello Everyone! Finally got back to the blog to be able to post something! Have been playing with new colouring tools - and I'm liking them a lot! I have lots that I have coloured - just need to get them stuck on the front of something!
Here is my entry for the CLP Challenge for this month. The sketch is lovely, and was great to work with. This is my Mum's card - I know that she won't see it here! The Tilda I have used is from the new Prince and Princess Collection. Just love this image. She is really sweet. I have coloured her using the new Distress Ink Markers. These are so lovely to use - and much more portable than the refills - now I can tote them around with me!
The colours look slightly out - so wish I photographed this in daylight!! The flowers are a mix of Wild Orchid Crafts and Magnolia. The beautiful papers are Kaisercraft - Bonjour. The crochet trim is Stampin Up! The pearls have been made using a Viva Decor pen in cream.
Thanks for visiting! Will be back soon......unless I can't put those markers down to get a card finished! Lol! Kxx

Crafting organisation! Today I thought I would share a picture of my new found piece of happiness! Here is the new large Copic carry case, with all my pens in! I used to empty my carrying bag out and put my pens back into Making Memories carousel - but now they are staying in their bag!
I saw on Copic Australia Facebook page, a picture for Valentines day that said "I love you more than Copic Markers, and that says a lot!" Love it!! Lol! My DH would not argue with that!
I got the inspiration to make these little swatch books for each basket from a post on Purple Onion Designs. I wanted my little swatch books to be based on the Copic Colour Wheel, like they are stored in my bag, with the matched greys for each section. It took ages to get it started, but once this beauty of a bag arrived, I had to get them finished! I created a database of Copic numbers and names (that's what took the time!!), printed the swatches with the Copic code and name using label printing, cut them out, and then coloured the bottoms with chisel tip strokes to show colour and depth of colour.
I can fit my copic notebook, copy of 'Shadows and Shading' and my swatch tags for hair and skin in this too! Bonus!
Thanks for visiting! Kx

Time to Celebrate - Uniko Studio!
Hello One and All! Hope you are all well!
Well, it is Saturday the 11th of February, so it is time to show you my projects for the launch of Uniko Studio stamps! These stamps are really lovely clear photo polymer - so you can see what you are doing! Got to say, I'm a bit of an organisation freak, and the fact that they come in DVD cases all snazzy with an index label made me so happy! :-)
Here is my first project!
Here is my first project!
The background paper is the lovely cog stamp from the set, repeated across white card with black ink. So simple, but quite striking!
Here is a photo of the detail:
I used the flower stamp, coloured with Copics and then went a bit layer mad! Love the way they look layered up like that though! The background stamp - a 'clocking in card' is so simple, yet can be used in so many ways.
Ok, so here is project two!
I've layered up the lovely fob watch stamp with lots of Prima papers, and pearly swirls to try and give the watch a vintagey look.
The watch has been coloured with Copic markers, layered up to give it dimension, with a healthy dollop of glossy accents to made it pop!
Hope you like what you see! Bev, the owner of Uniko Studio will be doing a make and take at The Paperlane today, and keep an eye on The Stamp Attic too! Uniko Studio's own website will be released today too - it's all go!
Have a lovely Saturday! Kxx
